The Land of Extensive Landslide Data
This is the critical rainfall, i.e. the amount of steady-state rain
necessary to destabilize a slope. The underlying elevation model is
mosaicked from USGS 30-meter quads. (Note the artifacts of the
boustrophodonic stereo plotter!) Slope is from the the standard ARC/INFO
algorithm and contributing area is from our custom algorithm.
Transmissivity = 65m/day, phi = 45° (This value incorporated cohesion.),
and bulk density = 2.
