The Land of Extensive Landslide Data

This is the critical rainfall, i.e. the amount of steady-state rain necessary to destabilize a slope. The underlying elevation model is mosaicked from USGS 30-meter quads. (Note the artifacts of the boustrophodonic stereo plotter!) Slope is from the the standard ARC/INFO algorithm and contributing area is from our custom algorithm. Transmissivity = 65m/day, phi = 45° (This value incorporated cohesion.), and bulk density = 2.

More data on mapped v predicted slides may be added soon.
