The DEM is from the Thurston County 2011 LiDAR survey. Shaded relief is calculated with the default 45 degrees elevation and NW azimuth. The third column of images is colored according to the difference between the elevation and the focal mean of elevation. The focal mean was created in arcgis with a custom weighted kernel file that smoothed the edges. The very last image was created from a smoothed annulus mean from another custom kernel file. The kernel files were created by kernel.py and kernel_annulus.py.
