Harvey's cheat sheet for the second editing demo
- Open ArcCatalog and find a directory you like
- File: new File GeoDatabase
- Give it a cool name
- Select it
- File: new Feature Class
- Name: blotch, Type: polygon, next, select coordinate system
- click on Field Name and Data Type to add an item.
- File: new Feature Class
- Name: road Type: line next, import coordinate system (add folder)
- Drag these features to arcmap
- Find the editor bar and start editing
- Select the area/database that you will work in.
- On the right of the edit toolbas, seelct your target.
- Draw a polygon. double-click to end
- From the layer list, right-click on blotch and open the attribute table
- Fill in the soil type
- Select target road
- Digitize. End by double-clicking
- Open table to change values.
