ESRI software in room 366
As of February 1, 2007:
Software on machines at the front of the lab includes
- arcview 3.3 (old and very decremented)
- ArcGIS 9.2, SP1, including the GUI and the command-line version.
People who wish to install software ON UNIVERSITY HARDWARE can contact
Harvey in room 374 (in the QRC suite at the end of the hall.)
Arcview 3.3 is launched from the ESRI tab in the programs menu.
Arcmap is launched from the ARCGIS tab in the programs menu.
You can launch "arcinfo workstation" (the old command-line program)
from a subtab of ARCGIS.
That merely invokes a DOS text window and calls "arc".
I find it more elegant to launch a cygwin unix emulator window and type "arc".
